What will they say
What will they think
Shall I soar today
Or will I sink

Questions without answers
Filling my mind
Leaping like dancers
To unbalanced time

My doubts spin wires
Barbed with premature opinions
I build my cage
Before the key

Thanks so much! I'm so glad you liked the ending, I was wondering how people would react to it. It's so nice to know people appreciate your work!

Writing is crucial. I can't explain why, but my whole world balances on words. I hope that if everyone were to read my writing, then somehow the gears of someone's world might shift ever so slightly, for the better.

I am fond of how you ended the poem, unrhymed. It threw me off at first, but it really adds to the sense of unease. The image of a cage being built before the key - amazing.
