The ground floats up beneath my feet
I feel my mind still wandering
Thoughts inside my mind still beat
Leaving once they’re through with me

Your smile lingers in my head
Never gone from memory
Laying in this empty bed
Still feeling you right next to me

Words that whisper in my ear
Silence that is deafening
Screaming that you’re still so near
Though so far away from me

Your touch though placed so long ago
Still has my skin tingling
I miss it all though I know
It still remains inside of me

The memories flow and I can’t hide
I’ll always feel you here with me
Inside my heart you stay alive
The last place that you’ll ever be
