If She Was Alone
If she were all alone
 And nobody was near
 She might love herself
 And have nothing to fear

Yet when she looks in the mirror
 She never thinks to smile
Because she has been told time after time
That she is not worth while

 When people say she’s beautiful
She dismisses each compliment as a lie
Because when she sees the models in the media
Inside all she can do is cry

 The world has taught her
To judge and cut herself down
But what if when she looked in the mirror
 She refused to frown
 And let herself smile instead
