"Chance Made Them Sisters, Hearts Made Them Friends"
Once there were two sisters
 As close as can be
Who laughed and played day by day
 Their lives filled with glee

 Throughout the years of childhood
 The sisters stayed as one
They went through the good and bad
And always had tons of fun

But then one day these two sisters
 Wound up in a fight
They yelled and screamed at one another
 All throughout the night

These sisters had promised never to
 leave
 One another alone
But some promises just can’t be kept
And both sisters were left on their own

The sisters waited night and day
For their best friend to return
But soon the lone sisters realized
 Their friendship would soon adjourn

Years went by with the two sisters
 Saying nothing at all
To the best friend they had once trusted
To be there when tears would fall

Both of the sisters missed the other
But were too scared to say
For fear of having the other one
 Turn the other away

But both those girls wanted to fix
 The friendship that they’d broken
They just weren’t sure what to say
For they’d gone too long unspoken

And then one day both sisters
 Realized their mistake
And called each other on the phone
 Putting their sisterhood at stake

As the buzzing of the phone rang out
 Both sister’s hearts beat faster
With shaking hands they answered the phone
 And hoped for no disaster

And those two sisters got their wish
 For no disaster occurred
Instead they listened to one another
Though at first no one uttered a word

But after some time they grew braver
And shared what they had thought
For the ten years they had not spoken
After that horrid night they’d fought

For hours the two girls talked and laughed
Sharing memories from over the years
And when they hung up and said good-bye
Their eyes were filled with tears

The next day the two girls made a promise
That this time they wouldn’t forget
They vowed to stay friends and sisters
Until the sun and the moon have met
