Optimistic Apocolypse
What a day this shall be
When the sun touches the sea
When the ocean will know
How the prophecy goes
What a time that will pass
When the lions sing at last
How the moments will fly
Like a pterodactyl in the sky
The moon will shine brighter than the stars
Everything lighter than on Mars
Volcanoes will burst forward on the weak
Life is at its ultimate peak
All the sorrows will fail
All the hatred will pale
With the beginning of the world
Starting with a little twirl
Jump-start this damn machine
Out of it, you’ll make a queen
Any unknown knowledge will be found
As the head is planted with a crown
Pearls, amethyst, and diamonds
The chorus gets to chime in
Songs so lovely and so true
I dedicate them all to you
I bid you my farewells
As I make my way to Hell
It is hotter than the sun
But I have the last good pun
It’s so empty here, down deep
Where the ocean can never reach
I never knew quite how
Yet I know it all, right now
Humankind is done and gone
Blasted away with its fun
But Earth shall persevere
Until the ocean’s last, grand tear.
