"Sometimes people leave you...halfway through The Wood. Do not let it grieve you...No one leaves for good. You are not alone, for no one is alone." -Into The Woods

Even you think that
The walls are closing in,
And that life itself
Is just a dirty sin,

Try your hardest to believe
That your creation
Was not an accident,
But that you were an innovation,
In the worlds intent.

You once thought you were ugly.
A grotesque lump of flesh,
But one day you saw yourself and said,
"This is a face no one forgets,
I am beautiful inside and out!
And in life I should have no doubt."

If you were a single flower,
Not colorful, but gray,
You would not leave the garden,
Or think your petals gay.

Do you happen to know why?
Because in that flower patch,
Not a ray of sunlight touched your life,
And no breeze could you catch.

But once you leave that garden,
And you let your petals show,
You may just think that outside
You will have room to grow.

A hint of color, maybe?
You'll be rooted to the ground
And the strength will dig so deep
That each breeze will make a sound.

So the next time you think about,
Wanting to go away.
Just remember that in the garden,
You have the chance to say,

"I am someone you'll remember,
And I have a face no one forgets!"
Then let your breath come easy,
And decide to let life progress.
