who kept my secrets
tucked tight in my slippers
under your wool socks
through the winter time
You were the girl
who hid my laughter
between the buttoned slips
of my bed time shirts
during spring days fine
You were the girl
who I thought I knew
when sanity seeped through
‘til you stole the sun
from my summer’s shine
