The Serpent's Tongue
Acid drips from The Serpent’s Tongue,
Like the bleeding wrists when honesty hung.
Invading the minds of the ignorant young,
Where tunes of deceit are heedlessly sung

Spreading the virus, infecting us all
Till we’re mourning the loss through a steel plated wall.
Projecting the poison and rejecting the call
To banish the venom and enable its fall.

 Boiling, festering, plotting to spite.
A legion of vermin will slyly unite
To chew your defenses like a famished termite
While you abandon the courage to stand up and fight.
