There's no god. There's no religion. There's only life, what you do with YOUR life, who YOU let affect YOUR life. Bad things happen to everyone, you just have to learn to deal with them.

The wind blew the curtains from my open window
And the breathy whispers were greeted by an empty room.
The ticking timed the fire as it continued to dwindle
And the soft voices promised a life free of doom.

A lonely walk to clear the mind
Under delicate stars hidden by the gloom
Brought me the dull excitement of a curious find
That is sure to bring me to my doom.

The grandfather clock kept track of time
With a sharp tick tick that filled the room.
It scattered away thoughts that weren’t mine;
Ones that were sure to bring me to my doom.

The wind blew the curtains from my open window
And the breathy whispers were greeted by an empty room.
The ticking timed the fire as it continued to dwindle
And the soft voices promised a life free of doom.

Uncertainty traveled at the speed of light
And clasped around ideas that one would assume
Were the thoughts of one whose mind was right
But assumptions bring the world to its doom.

My twilight walk led me to a worthless gate
Where I pondered my choice to never again step foot in my room.
The obscene thought that entered my brain sealed my fate
And the silent curiosity of loneliness brought me to my doom.

The wind blew the curtains from my open window
And the breathy whispers were greeted by an empty room.
The ticking timed the fire as it continued to dwindle
And the soft voices fulfilled their promise of a life free of doom.
