"I am haunted by humans", Death, the Book Thief

On the hill the Cavalier stood
On his steed as brown as wood
God's symbol on his chest
He was known for fighting best
His sword at his side
Could cut through the toughest hide
His will is strong as mountains high
He thinks faster than a bird can fly
His shield protects all from harm
None shall fall beside him, from city or farm
The Cavalier leads an army who smites with God's power
Disposing of evil in less than an hour
The Cavalier is the champion of kings
And comes only when a church bell rings
