Changes

The sea became glass,
The rivers to stone,
The soil to ashes,
The plant life to bone.
The mammals to velvet,
The insects to grain,
The buildings to feathers,
The mountains to rain.
Technology to rubber,
Fabrics to time,
Night into day,
Justice to crime.
All things became others,
A sight to be seen,
As brown turned to purple,
And red into green.
