Clouding my judgement
Crippling my senses
I may seem powerful
But I am truly defenseless

A shock surges through me
Where no one can see
As I wither in pain
Silently

Is this what it means
To be cool
To have fun
If so, so long
I am done

You may think I'm weak
But I know I am strong
To choose the right path
After opting for wrong

Life is too short
So YOU make YOUR choices
Inhale positivity
Exhale the poisons

Victorious in my battle
Left only with confidence
Clarity is my prize
For living above the influence

The author's comments:
A major struggle for teens these days is the force of peer pressure to do things one may not feel comfortable doing. This topic deserves to be dealt with around the world so that every child, teenager, and adult can feel comfortable in their own skin and remain above the influence.
