The Ballad of Lilli Mae
There once was a girl named Lilli Mae
She dressed real nice and played all day
Her long red hair was kept swept back in a single braid
One day a nice young man came by Lilli Mae
"Whom might you be?" she asked real nicely
"I am the man who kisses." he replied in a voice like honey
There one was a girl named Lilli Mae
She dressed real nice and played all day
Her long red hair was kept swept back in a single braid
Lilli Mae went on playing as the man walked away
She bounced her nice pink ball againist the wall
As she bounced the ball there was a bounce that was not quite the same
The nice pink ball flew over Lilli Mae's bright red head and into the street
There once was a girl named Lilli Mae
She dressed real nice and played all day
Her red hair was kept swept back in a single braid
Without looking Lilli Mae went into the street to collect her toy
Then there came a bright blue truck up the road and then
She fell
She looked up from the ground and saw two men standing above her
One was the man she saw earlier that day
Once there was a girl named Lilli Mae
She dressed real nice and played all day
Her red hair was kept swept back in a single braid
The man held out his hand to Lilli Mae
she slowly grasped it
when she did a shiver went down her spine
They got up and walked away
as they walked away Lilli Mae turned around and saw a little girl laying on the ground that looked qutie similar to her
"Oh dear! Should we go help her?" she asked
"No my darling" he replied softly "She has already been helped." He said he wiped her blood caked hair away from her soft rosy cheeks.
she smiled at him as blood flooded from the blotches on her pretty little innocent face.
