The Lightness in The Dark

I look up into the dark night sky
The pine trees sway and catches my eye
The ground beneath me, sinks under my toes, and the light breeze tickles the tip of my nose
The gnats fly around, causing a buzz in my ear
The dewey leaves crunch under the foot of a deer
I continue to look into the vast night sky, the shimmering stars pull the focus from my eye
The black of the night is all I can see
No chains there to ground me, I am totally free
