Silver Ledges
Blended lines in a hazy world
Concentric voids of space
A harmony of senseless sound
But then I see his face
I wavered on a silver ledge
But now a silver line
A life I barely recognized
I now can claim as mine
He tilts my head to meet his eyes
Oh instability
My heart bursts with euphoria
Sweet serendipity
Fingertips trace against cool skin
Two shadows conflated
I intake beauty with each breathe
My soul captivated
But 'all too good' can disappear
The trees seem green and lush
Until the season strips their arms
Music a whispered hush
I second guess my sentences
I'm grasping empty air
Thinning threads, fragmenting paint
Vulnerable and bare
All those daydreams become nightmares
Every promise a lie
Chaos descending upon me
A grey and clouded sky
Blended lines in a hazy world
A girl without a place
I'm back up on the silver ledge
I hate that stupid face.
