Test of Life
They say I know the answers
They say I always do
But there’s one thing on the test of Life
That I just can’t think through
They say that I am perfect
But here’s a small confession
I’m only seen as ‘perfect’ cause
I’m frightened by perfection
They say I should take credit
I’m too humble of my wealth
But do they know I hate myself
Because I hate myself?
I have a house of love
The walls are trophy-lined
They see a future sunny bright
Oh, why am I so blind?
For every time I work
I slowly start to cease
Cause I expect for everything
To be a masterpiece
They say I know the answers
But I am not that tough
For I don’t know when I can see
Myself as good enough
