When morning comes
And the air is cold
Will I be breathing?
Can I be so bold?
The night brought dew
Cold diamonds on the earth
Shining in the dull light
The morning giving birth
To the light of a new day
That would also bring death
For my heart is feeble
And faltering my breath
But may I stay strong
If only for your sake?
If I don’t stay, promise
Not to cry until daybreak
