you don’t realize how much you love someone
until they’re already gone
until they’re out of reach
until they’ve slipped through your
fingertips
you never know how much you crave
their hug
their voice
their love
their touch
and you always fail to realize how much you crave
someone
until it’s too late
-you don’t realize how deeply intertwined you are until they walk away
