Yes you looked at me
You looked at my dull gaze
You looked at my reluctance to join in
You looked at my silence
You looked at my loneliness
But you didn’t see
You didn’t see that I was dying inside
You didn’t see me slipping away
And when it was too late you saw
You could’ve stopped it
You could’ve seen
But instead you just looked
You looked but you didn’t see.
