Synesthesia
At the center of boredom,
stems a flourishing taste of juicy watermelon reminding me of summer.
The rock bottom of October,
never will taste like the freedom and hope of July.
The sadness of puppies smells like the crunching
of fallen leaves as the autumn days get colder.
The hiding place of rain shivers
underneath the eager smile of the beaming sun.
If you jump into the present,
you’ll land on the sadness of waking up to go to school everyday.
When you toss sadness to the wind,
it returns as the taste of sweet candy after a night of trick or treating.
