My eyes turn to green when he looks at her

With the love and the care that make my eyes blur

“I trust her, I do” I repeat to myself

But it’s hard to do that when he likes her as well

I cower in the corner, no trace of existence

As he walks over, and I watch from a distance

In her heart she holds a promise for me

But now it looks like it might be for thee

I can’t make a scene

For it would be ludicrous

Because my dad holds the key

To that church up the stream

I’m lost in my head

As of what to do

So, I watch as he asks her

To be only his.
