Identity Crisis
Mirror mirror on the floor
Who is that man at the door
Is that me?
With a bright demeanor and eyes of topaz?
Dutiful, diligent
A genuine smile, nothing lacked
Mirror mirror cracked and shattered
What do you mean it doesn’t matter?
Is that me?
Dull eyes and duller tone
Deaf to others and completely alone
How about him?
Laughing with friends, and glaring at their backs
He turns around, they glare right back.
To him
The moon in the water is the moon in the sky
What about him?
Black and blue, working so hard and giving his all
Not backing down and standing so tall
The belt of responsibility strikes
Again
Again
A kaleidoscope of personalities
Reflect and refracting different ways to act
Mirror mirror on the wall
Which one is me, or am I all?
