Favorite Quote:
"Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise" - Victor Hugo

Everything collapses

Everything is falling apart, tumbling down

A river rushing down on me

The light is gone, the dark returns

A cloud of tears in my eyes

The pain seeping through

And like a river, tears coming rushing out

Everything I was holding in comes out

Like a volcano or maybe a geyser

I’m a mess

It seems like the world is against me

Always looking down on me

I feel like I’m locked in a tower

An army of guards standing outside

Watching my every move

With every breath, I take

I remember everything I hid inside me

From joy to misery

From anger to fear

Everything Explodes

It flows out like a stream of lava

The author's comments:

Born in Oklahoma city, Vaishnavi (born 2004-present). She started writing poetry in 9th grade. For her, poetry lets her speak her feelings without letting on so much that it might ruin something. Her poetry is representing her dysfunctional family and how she struggles with that and how she sometimes deals with that.
