these eyes looking back at you
every imperfection on display
magnified by insecurity
staring
watching
taking everything in
letting these eyes define you
eyes looking through a dirtied lens
not truly seeing
it is only a reflection
these eyes lie
that’s all they do
feeding off vulnerability
this isn’t you
these eyes are blinded
chained down by worthlessness
let others show you
their eyes are clean
they see truth
beauty
strength
confidence
worth
they see you
