Bedazzled
Movements of the body
Infinitesimal hammer strikes
Break into a sharp cascade
A shudder swims through my skin
by the brush of a leaf
Knee joint double back fold in onto my stomach
Tuck appendages, a fleshy box, and send me off in bandages
Mounting hairpin fractures, the sheer cliff face of skin
Drop off into the canopy,
eternity,
theabyss
within
I take lime green medicine and shoot it up through my veins
In a burst of rainbow glory the wall is splattered with my brains
Put a gun to the floor and shoot the earth — cry your name
Sink, flat stingray paper, and melt into the terrain
This blood takes acrobatic courses
Through nascent, open-holed culdesacs and yellow-maroon lint
Jumps from arms to feet — a consoling quantum tunneling
Extend like a gauzy blanket, encircle me, spread-thin
Fight to preserve my decaying lifeblood, yours
Take up spear and sword and jab through your walls of creation.
Take a spear and shoot it into the earth, into a gun
Run a spear through veins and ventricles and arterial lost hopes
Blast a shattered sun.
Kaleidoscope the sky and watch the colors fly
RUN along the ground keep your body close to the ground
pathetic slug of unregarded heroism and forgotten stature
you will have your molding day soon
or your melting day, come june
because we all know that night falls with a rhyme
Paint buckets spill onto daffodils
and eat up the slimy torpedo
that creeps across the floor and
disrespects your expectations —
instead drags the world to itself with frightening speed
An onset collision dictated by a single point fighting internal trembles
Internal loopings and knots shooting through knots.
Ambidextrous slug flies, limp into the sky
follows the trail that phoenix flew years ago
Takes trembling jettisons of fury, clawing towards its zenith
Where it shatters in on itself and blasts the sun.
A dazzle of glitter floats down with free will
And twirls petals in autumn wind around my awe-struck eyes
Transfixed, take a snapshot
Because at the very same moment
These kaleidoscope pixies darted with malicious teeth to cover my body like ants
And eat away at the heart of a monotone wave
Now I remain forever
Petals of glitter crowning my frozen air
And jeweling my cracked skin.
