The Question

In the beginning was the word,
and the word was yes.
And the word tumbled out
through nothing, I guess.
Before that was the question,
And the question was short.
Are you okay?
And I responded almost in forte.
And before the question was the word.
Yes a word, another word.
And the word was lie.
My mind blurred.
