beyond the limits of gravity
I feel it calling me and yet its out of reach,
Hidden were I cannot see,
Lurking in the shadows
I grasp for it stretching my arms as far as it can reach,
But my fingers come back empty
And yet again, it slips out of reach
So close, but yet unreachable.
I am not the only one who can sense it,
It is awakening the earth from her deep slumber,
Stirring, you can practically see it in the air, a glimmer there, a shadowy shape beneath a weeping willow tree.
The air is buzzing with it, the wind whisking it along over our heads, just too far away to reach.
It appears when you least expect it, calling to you from the deepest depths of the world,
Awakening a piramal sense long buried beneath.
We are wandering searching for something we can never possess.
Tricking yourself it might be, could be, may be,
It is only a matter of time until it overcomes us and we return once more to the forms we first filled, the essence of humanity, a swirls mist that dissipates and distills until we become nothing, a we were before, and yet everything, all at once.
And the longing we once felt is long forgotten, gone onto another galaxy, bridging the gap into another world, which will soon be a abandoned paradise, mirroring the destruction of our world.
