our job
Bear the children,
Clean the house,
Cook the food…
It’s our job, right?
The job of a woman…
Get the education,
Always be the strongest,
Make the money…
It’s their job, right?
The job of a man…
I’ve been thinking
That this is wrong.
No man or woman should be
bound to one job;
We are bound though,
Bound to what we believe
we are supposed to be,
Bound to the boundaries we set.
Who was Susan B. Anthony?
She went beyond the constraints
of her position
In her performance of life.
So now I am left to wonder:
What is my job
Going to be?
