He closes his eyes
And opens his eyes again
He glances around, he lies
They still have some way to go
So
Under the trees
He follows her
In the cold breaking dawn.
He knows what life is
An act of resistance
A certain satisfaction
It takes him a moment
To look at
Her.
But still,
He walks miles in silence:
He is already elsewhere
