Boo Radley
I am Scout
I am curious
I wonder if the stories are true
I hear floorboards under his feet
I see crooked, willowed fingers crawling across the house
I want to peek through the dirty, dingy windows
I am curious
I pretend to hear him listening, lurking outside my door
I feel afraid, excited
I need to see in that house
I worry I will never know
I cry, I try
I am curious
I understand he may be dangerous
I believe he may be misunderstood
I dream about his face
I try to discover the truth
I hope he is good like Tom
I am curious
This poem is about the relationship between Scout Finch and Boo Radley.
