Starlight
Again, the moon falls for the sun
and the inky blackness
lingers above our heads.
Speckles of stardust fill the night sky,
lighting the world
for those who’ve lost their way.
Wait patiently, observe,
lay on the grass, breathe.
I watch the universe dance;
spiraling stars, and planets hung with care
above twinkling eyes.
Nothing is more breathtaking
than the sight of the Milky Way
on a crystal clear night.
A steady stream of dots lining the sky,
creating a pathway to heaven,
where my love ones gather
peacefully, watching over.
Watching back at me
as I watch their night sky.
