There was a time when happiness spread like a disease,

Where everyone had smiles of pure joy and love.

There was laughter and play all around us that day,

that day when everything was peaceful.

Then there was blood and screaming,

this quiet life we loved was stripped away from us.

Now, there is prayer... a prayer that could open up the coldest of hearts.

There was fear and doubt, were we ever going to be free again?

Then we remember a promise, a promise that came from our Father in heaven.

He promised a life with Him, and a never ending supply of love.

There was HOPE!
