Water.
All I wanted was a water,
but the sign says out of order.
I went to every machine in the school.
None of them work.
Out of order.
Just like my head.
Like my mind.
All these thoughts
floating around, swirling around
in my mind.
How do I make it stop?
How do I put my brain back together?
Will I ever be fixed? Cured? Healed?
People say that a higher being
will show me the way
and give me strength, but
will they really?
The words my mind throws at me
are words I would rather avoid.
Words
no person would ever like to hear.
The mean kind of words.
The threatening kind.
The harsh words.
The "What if's."
The words that can make any man
tremble and fall and break
as if he were a porcelain doll.
I can only hope I never shatter.
The worst thing about it?
All I wanted was water.

My school has vending machines and sometimes they don't work right. Well, the day I decide I want water (because I actully have money) it doesn't work. When I saw the out of order sign, I knew I had to write something about it. It's not my best poem, but hey, my brain was foggy and I've been having writer block. Sorry.
