the color yellow,
donuts and chocolate milk.
Spending time with people
you don't know well
and becoming friends.
Listening to the waves,
braiding hair,
toasting marshmallows
(in giant sweatshirts of course).
Swimming at sunset,
reading a book
in one day,
watermelon cut into triangles.
Friends that make
school not so hard,
laughing so hard you cry,
losing your voice
from screaming.
New shoes,
curly hair,
looking dumb and not caring.
Rainy days,
playing piano,
making friendship bracelets.
Snowball fights,
holding hands,
singing Taylor Swift.
Watermelon gum,
cousins,
playing ping-pong.
Cotton candy chapstick,
messy buns,
inside jokes.
Little things,
everyday things,
good things.
