Internal Warfare.
Preached logicality,
Breathed into glass shards.
Wisps of self dismantle;
For aching thirst.
Denounce sound rationale
Bartered for rash sentiment.
Indecision’s wheel—
Of ennui or infatuation.
The Vessel rusts;
Specter-filled town.
’Til time-crafted cobwebs
Forthwith swept in abyss
By Amour’s hand.

This is a poem about the struggle of not knowing if one is in love, or simply filled with boredom and loneliness. The speaker spends his life telling others they should never actively seek a realtionship, but does that exact thing when he returns home. It is a battle between the brain and the heart, and the victor is unknown.
