I’m aware of what’s happened

Missing parts of a precious soul

It’s eerie… yet familiar.

“Why is it that I know this place?”

It’s freezing… and hot

Bright and dark at once

I’m awake and asleep

But this place is so... familiar.

I know I’m not alone.

I can see the figure

But only its eyes

I’ve seen those eyes before.

I understand now why this place is familiar.

All my fear has existed

I stretch out on the metallic table and relax myself

Suddenly a recognizable smell hits

I quickly start chasing z’s.

Those z’s aren’t my own

Artificially made, fake, a ruse

They consume me in my sleep.

Still, these false dreams are rather... familiar.

I awake from my slumber six hours later

Cozy, cold, cramped

Feel nauseous, tired, and worn out

This weakened feeling feels even more familiar than it should.

“Why can’t I stand?”

I see the insertion point

I now know why I can’t get up on my own

Sadness and fear consume my head.

“They’re all gone. It’s over.”

With negativity swirling upstairs

I can only think about my rag-doll form and why I’m here in the first place

Why being flimsy, hopeless, and depressed is so familiar here?

“I’m aware now

I know what happened

I know what’s missing

I know why I’m here.”

“It’s because of me

I caused this

This PAIN, this SUFFERING.”

“It’s ALL MY FAULT!”

“It’s not fiction

Or false sadness

IT’S REALITY!”
