My Sanctuary

I look around and all I see,

Is nothing but black.

The endless sea of nothing,

The nothing that continues forever.

Made from the light of others,

Their light that makes the shadows and void.

But the void is silent,

All I crave is the silence that is created from the noise of others.

Once I was a part of the so called light that burned so fiercely,

But those days are past and now all I love is my void.

The place of silence that has become my sanctuary,

The escape from the noise that has become my past.

But I grow weary of the silence,

I love my silence but others will seek to encroach upon it.

Twisting it to their whims,

Destroying the beauty that has become my home.

So now all I see is the border,

The border that connects.

My home,

And theirs.

I must cross this border to protect my home,

To make sure THEY don't disturb my sanctuary.
