"The strongest people are not those who show strength in front of us but those who win battles we know nothing about"

There were galaxies in her eyes.

Pupils eclipsed by constellations,

meaning nothing to the untrained eye.

Meaning everything to the ones who care to look,

studying the patterns and the pieces of her soul

Every star carried its own weight

Resting atop her straining shoulders

Waiting for one false move,

one misstep causing a cacophony of supernovas

Ones that will break the ground open and swallow her whole

So she stood waiting,

patiently as a pedastal for the planets

Slowly letting the weight consume her

Breaking down her being

Until someone comes along,

  to help bear the weight

And show her the beauty of the galaxies in her eyes

The author's comments:

I always lvoed when people talk about seeing galaxies in someones eyes; however, when I see that, it's typically in a positive connotation about how their eyes can show a story. I wanted to interpret it in a way where it's more of a negative connotation and it shows the struggles that someone can hide behind their eyes.
