We’re all nothing but walking paradoxes, and I love it!

As I sit upon this branch,

Not too high,

Not too low,

I look up to the sky where the “angels” fly,

And down to the ground where the“devils” lie.

As I reach down to dip my fingers,

In this stream,

Which separates us,          from them.

One by one

I feel nothing

Like somehow my fingers sink in the reflection above.

I submerge myself from world,              to world

From second,                       to second

An earth paradox.

That’s been the destination,

I’ve traveled toward my whole life.

And as I lay below,

The reflection that separates worlds,

For the first time I hear every sound.

In an absence of sound.

The night sky whispering its lullaby,

The blossoming sunflowers singing joy through the night,

And an old man screaming how he finally felt free tonight!
