On the bed there sat man

Who had let it all go to his head

Now he can’t remember any dread.

His tunic slathered in multiple a stain,

He hoped the bottle would wipe away the pain,

On the floor it lay

Broken and in dismay

In front of the doors crowds sing in glory,

Hindsight will have to say it was a gilded story,

His pick which used to replenish,

Now only covers his biggest blemish

only 100 proof could take it away,

His eyes could show, clear as day

This peice was based upon a poetry my teacher had given me this past week. It is based upon a famous musician who is suffering from an alcohol problem.
