Give me a clue, a hint if you will

About where we go when we die

Is it somewhere beyond our wildest dreams,

Or somewhere within reach

How does one know when they leave

Do they remorse on past experiences,

Or dwell in the future?

Would you get to say goodbye to ones you love?

Or move avast forgetting of importance?

Is time irrelevant?

Does it slip through the cracks of meaning, scattered upon a tinted pane

Demolished into grains of sand

Singular specks thrown into the ocean of moments

Or perhaps, we remember our life

Acknowledge our accomplishments for they were the very things that kept us going

Or maybe, we have to let go

Let our pride and predigest be thrown to the wind

Watch them drift, as they will only be remembered by some

A sliver of our soul might be left behind when our bodies are removed

While they are driven in a black car or gingerly rested in a casket

Diminishing slowly left ajar

So, give me a clue a hint if you will about where we go when we die

The author's comments:

The question of death is one of great importance, for we haven't yet found the answer. Perhaps we never will. So, that is why I wrote something to subtle my own questioning on the subject.

I currently do not practice a religion, but I am open to all ideas about anything.
