Little Rose on the Sidewalk
Small budding rose on the sidewalk
Too weak to survive the winter
Or the prints of the boots that walk by every morning
Without so much as a, Hello.
Her petals close to blooming
The pretty colour finally growing
Still goes unnoticed by the fools
But she knows beauty doesn't last
So she doesn't think too much about it
Just goes on her way
Her friendships are rewarding
And she has blast with the lilies and the faes
And if you see her on the sidewalk
On a cold winter midnight
Don't you worry, little human
She will survive, to see another day.
