Revival
Lying supine on my bed, I often dream
Of the clear blue sky that has now been
Blocked by the walls of confinement and quarantine.
Raindrops touching my skin,
The pleasant, dewy petrichor of the post-rain,
All come to my mind,
Subtle, obscure and intertwined.
I ask myself today,
What, what the world be may?
Will this omnipresent threat ever go away?
Oh! Answers and solutions are all I pray.
It is spreading like forest fire,
It is swallowing all those who come in its way.
Don’t take it lightly people,
Don’t say it’s okay.
We need to be in this together,
We need to push it away.
Prevention is better than cure,
Therefore,
Get vaccinated and remain indoor.
Wear a mask, maintain six feet distance,
Parties are not the only aim of your existence.
Think of the doctors working days and nights,
The police, army officers and other frontline knights.
Don’t let their sacrifices go in vain,
Respect them, show some restrain.
Not only for their sake,
Don’t you want this vicious cycle to break?
Don’t you want life less tense?
Don’t you want to bid Coronavirus good riddance?
