On the Road
On the Road
I am on the road
Whales roaming in sky
Clouds, pure white
Crushed by gods
Sit on the roof and sing aloud
Sip lemon brandy and swing legs
Wave to the starry night
Watch horizon swallow and spit suns, flame a cider kiss.
Wild hearts beating to their own rhythm
I am what I am
They call me madman
Crazy insane grotesque
Such comments
Who cares
I am what I am
I wanna drive until the end of glow
I will keep chasing the sun
Always following my heart
Not afraid of words
Not afraid of world
Not afraid of tattle and prate
Not afraid of ridicule and mock
Not afraid of challenges
Not afraid of setbacks
Not afraid of decisions
Not afraid of opportunities
Not afraid of loving
Not afraid of hating
All scars are medals
All memories are petals
Keep going until I die
I am what I am
Forever young
Forever challenge
Forever against mediocrity
Passion never die
I am what I am
I am on the road

The inspiration came from the book On the Road written by Jack Kerouac. It was a wild and free time that fascinated so many people including me. I pay tribute to that time with this poem, which makes me long for traveling across the continent with the songs of Bob Dylan. The romanticism of singing on the road and strumming a guitar under the starry night is something I'm going to achieve.
