The kids who need the most love will ask for it in the most unloving ways.

Hour by Hour the clock ticks by,

Living on paycheck to paycheck,

judgment from those who know nothing of this feeling,

Hungry, thin, waiting, watching.

The hourglass begins to crack,

The violence reigns heavily on your heart,

And the sorrow of the poor cries out like an echo,

Fearful, broken, tired, and lost.

Time is slipping away from under our feet

The darkness awakens your lifeless dreams

Trampled on by the upper class,

Healing, breaking, sore, and angry.

Gunshots blast out through the city,

As they cry out for change,

Never giving up on a better future,

Relentless, determined, unwavering, selfless

It's incredible, the sympathy you've painted in these words.
