THE TREE

I saw you for the first time as a small seed
but then you have grown to do many big deeds
Standing proudly near the green fields
you gave shelter to a baby who kneels
Time passed, and you grew old
the baby had also grown as a man of cold
And one day you didn't stand anymore
instead you slept calmly on the floor
The wind was uttering your story to the blue lake
And that 'man' stood there with an axe,
giving everyone a look of fake.
