Small windows

Small amounts of light in the world and 

Small amounts of space in our brains. 

Small words in brilliant minds 

Large words confusing small and simple minds. 

Small actions, ripple effects 

Small moments remembered more than they should be.

Small smiles in the dark. 

If I spent forever in this room with these small walls

The small cracks inside of me might heal on their own. 

But if I stay here forever what would I be missing out on?

These small walls protect me, yes. 

But there is so much about life that these walls will never know.

And I’m not meant for these small walls.
