Labyrinth of Mine

My head is like a labyrinth,

Twisting and turning,

Never staying the same throughout.

Surrounding a city,

Screaming to be found.

Textures of purple line the sky,

As lavender overwhelms every new comer,

Who dares to challenge these walls.

“We’ll see” they whisper,

Igniting false hope they might find their way.

Lex, out of all, will be the first.

It’s her own creation, she holds the key.

Yet the blueprints lie so far beyond her reach.

She falls through,

Floor, ground, core, and all.

Ending at the start,

Glaring at the great tall wall.

I laugh at her faith,

I chuckle with pride.

No one can solve me,

Not Kari, not Todd, nor anyone who's tried.

I used my comfort movie from my childhood as inspiration.
