Pisces Season

Sing to the new moon for me tonight

Give your breath up to make space for her glow deep down in your chest

Stand open and bare-breasted in her dim light

A compass pointed southwest

Straddling between instinctual fight or flight

A response that's wholly human and all-embracing of our origin

I wish to regress into a beast from the sea

Churning the waves as your voice speaks salt to me

Mourn for the loss of the winter months that passed as fleeting as the constellations littering the sky

Shifting their palace with the passing seasons

A subtle accusation, to blame one's lover

The sliver of light barely visible from your bedroom window is your final reason

New beginnings means more half-truths and pity remorse to uncover

You're a traitor of holy worlds

You should be charged with capital treason

The amethyst on my windowsill won't heal cracked pavement

The ice buried itself too deeply many winters ago

I'll plant the needle of my broken compass in the garden

Let the flowers grow in your tender body upon the arrival of Libra's full moon

My lover's decay is from stardust

The sun will glimmer over the horizon by the time your heart is in full bloom
