“I was ashamed of myself when I realized life was a costume party; and I attended with my real face.” ~Franz Kafka

The twilight paints a lilac sky ,

For the birds of dusk begin to cry.

The stars paint a vast array ,

As they spread through the Milky Way.

Saturn bidding a rosy kiss to Neptune ,

As Jupiter is a sandy dune.

Beneath the auroral clouds ,

Lays the fulgent light of the celestial moon.

Spilling softly the heavenly secrets.

For the ocean ,

cradled in her own pale reflection.

Rippling in the crimson;

Vanquished in the gleaming moonlight.

And finally, amethyst melodies fill the early dawn ,

As the buttery yellow sun rises slowly from the horizon.

Moon flushing to Sun; ‘Farewell my love!’

Twilight is such a fulgent sight to behold the naked eye……….

This is such a good poem!
